Spider veins are dilated or stretched blood vessels that appear on the legs, face or anywhere on the body. It is generally believed that heredity, excessive standing, weight gain, hormonal changes and pregnancy may be some of the causes.

We at Glow Medi-SPA offer Laser technology as an efficient painless way to treat this embarrassing problem. Treatment sessions are virtually pain free and most clients require 3-4 treatments spaced over 3 to 6 months.

There are many benefits to our laser removal of unwanted veins. Larger areas can be treated with less discomfort than other procedures that use needles, bandages, and support stockings. What is the procedure?

At Glow Medi-SPA, we use only the best laser for vein removal. Our 1064 is a non-invasive light therapy device specifically designed to eliminate undesired blood vessels from all parts of the body. The laser generates a pulse of light directed through a small, cooled hand piece gently applied to the vein. There is then selective damage to the target blood vessel without damage to the surrounding tissues and skin. The destroyed blood vessels are gradually reabsorbed by the body, and the flow of blood is redirected into the deeper vessels, where it belonged!

The laser usually requires no anesthesia or other treatment. Sensitive areas such as the nose and cheeks can be treated easily and with minimal discomfort. In Addition, Our Lasers are able to safely and effectively treat all people – including those with tanned, very dark or even black skin.

What Areas can be treated?

Just about anywhere, in women, the most common areas for treatment are blood vessels on the thighs, lower legs and ankles. In men and women unwanted red blood vessels on the nose and face, including those associated with acne rosacea and with sun damage, are successfully treated. Other lesions such a cherry hemangiomas, and spider hemangiomas on the face, upper chest and other parts of the body can be treated.

Some side effects can include occasional increased or decreased pigment in the treated area. This is rarely a major cosmetic problem, and it typically resolves after several months. There usually is some redness and swelling immediately after the treatment which subsides within a week. Bruising can rarely occur; again, this is temporary and usually resolves within a few weeks.
